I’d love to see a future when nature and technology become indistinguishable from one another or perhaps see the main function of technology being to protect and serve the entire natural environment, not just a human economy of invented needs.
This piece was an exercise in repurposing an older image ‘Crux’ to see how it might be evolved into a new creation. Initially I imagined a more flower-like set of shapes, but it quite quickly expanded out to more of a forest of tree and branch shapes. Again desire to merge mechanical and organic elements shines through in the piece. I wanted to contrast the circuit straight lines with a softer and warmer colour palette, so I kept the purple, pink and orange mix from the original piece. The mist clouds and haze of the distance were designed to further soften the feel and push it into a dream-like atmosphere.
